Ang early registrants ay nasa 4.5 million.

Ang Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal at Quezon)  ang may pinakamaraming  enrollees sa 1.7 milyon.

Sumunod dito ang  Metro Manila  na nasa mahigit 990,000, at Central Luzon na mahigit sa 973,000.

Nagsimula ang enrollment sa public schools noong Agosto 16 and at magtatapos sa  Setyembre 13, na siyang unang araw ng klase sa pampublikong paaralan.

Una nang pinayagan ng  DepEd ang  private schools, na nagsimulang magklase nitong Hunyo at Hulyo.

Ikinatwiran naman ng DepEd ang dahilan ng pagbaba ng enrollees ngayong taon,kumpara sa nakaraan na 26.6 million learners. Ito ay  bunga ng epekto ng pandemya ng COVID-19 kung saan ipinatutupad pa rin ang distance learning. ELMA MORALES
