“President Rodrigo Roa Duterte approved the recommendation of the Inter-Agency Task Force to extend the travel restrictions currently imposed (on) 10 countries starting August 1 until August 15, 2021,” ani Roque.
Ang desisyon ay sa gitna ng upward trend sa Delta variant cases sa bansa.
Hanggang noong Hulyo 29, may karagdagang 97 Delta variant cases ang iniulat sa bansa upang umabot na sa 216 ang kabuuang kaso ng mabilis makahawang coronavirus.
Nasa 88 sa 97 bagong Delta variant cases ang local cases, anim ang returning overseas Filipinos, at tatlo ang bineberipika pa.
Inilabas din ni Roque ang bagong listahan ng green countries na itinuturing na low risk para sa COVID-19 — Albania, Kosovo, Hong Kong, Laos, Hungary, New Zealand at China.
Ang fully vaccinated Filipino travelers mula sa naturang mga bansa ay isasailalim sa seven-day facility quarantine, kung saan isasagawa ang COVID-19 test sa ika-5 araw.
