SASALANG na si Kristina Knott sa women’s 200 meters heats ng athletics sa Tokyo Olympics ngayong umaga.
Tatakbo si Knott sa Heat 7, ang final heat, na nakatakda sa alas-10:18 ng umaga (Manila time) sa pag-asang mabura ang 23 seconds.
Ang kanyang personal best ay 23.01 seconds, na isang Philippine national record.
“My goal is to go sub-23 (seconds),” wika ni Knott sa Tokyo Olympics official website, ilang araw bago magbukas ang Games noong July 23.

“It’s championship time. And anything to do with tapering should have been done weeks before,” ani Knott, na naghanda para sa Tokyo sa ilalim ng kanyang coach na si Rohsaan Griffin at ni strength and conditioning coach Carlo Buzzichelli.
“At this point, you should have given everything you and everything you worked, and it will hopefully show at the competition,” dagdag ni Knott.
