HINDI magkakaroon ng pagbabago sa supply at capacity ng public transportation sa paglipat ng National Capital Region (NCR), Laguna, at Bataan mula enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) sa mas maluwag na modified ECQ, ayon sa Department of Transportation (DOTr).

Sinabi ng DOTr na sa road transport sector, ang public utility buses at jeepneys ay pinapayagan na mag-operate ng hanggang 50% capacity sa ‘one-seat-apart’ rule.

Ayon pa sa ahensiya, bawal ang may nakatayong pasahero, at isang pasahero lamang ang papayagang umupo kahilera ng driver.

Pinapayagan ding mag-operate ang motorcycle taxi services at Transport Network Vehicle Service (TNVS).

Samantala, isang pasahero lamang kada tricycle ang pinapayagan, tulad ng inaprubahan ng Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) at  Local Government Units (LGUs) bilang pagtalima sa umiiral na mga polisiya sa operational limitations nito.

Sa railway sector, sinabi ng DOTr na magpapatuloy ang mga operasyon ng Philippine National Railways (PNR), LRT-1, LRT-2, at MRT-3 sa panahon ng MECQ.

Ang Metro Manila at Laguna ay nasa ilalim ng MECQ mula August 21 hanggang 31, habang ang Bataan ay isasailallm sa kaparehong quarantine classification mula August 23 hanggang 31.
