NAGPAPASALAMAT ang regional political party Hugpong ng Pagbabago (HNP) sa diumano’y patuloy na pagpapakita ng suporta ng sambayanang Filipino kay Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio, base na rin sa pinakahuling Pulse Asia survey.

Subalit paggigiit ni HNP Secretary General, Davao del Norte Gov. Anthony del Rosario, bagama’t malaking tulong sa sinumang ang pagka-karoon ng mataas na survey ratings, isa lamang ito sa mga maaa­ring pagbasehan kung tatakbo o hindi sa susunod na halalan.

“Having a high rating will definitely be a boost for any candidate, but at the end of the day, she (Mayor Sara) will decide on her own,” sabi pa ng gobernador, na siya ring tumatayong spokesman ng HNP.

Aminado naman si del Rosario na hindi pa niya nakakausap ang presidential daughter kung kaya hindi niya batid ang personal na reaksiyon nito kaugnay ng nasabing nationwide survey.

Hinggil naman sa pahayag ni Pangulong Duterte na hindi pa dapat tumakbo sa 2022 presidential race ang anak na lady mayor, sinabi ng HNP spokesman na naipakita na ni Mayor Duterte-Carpio ang pagkakaroon nito ng ‘independent mind’ at tiyak naman rerespetuhin din ang pananaw ng ama.

“Mayor Sara, time and time again has shown she has an independent mind. But of course, she will accept the wisdom of the President. Still, at the end of the day, she will decide on her own,” ang sabi pa ni del Rosario.

Samantala, muling inulit ng gobernador na naunang sinabi ni Mayor Sara na ayaw at hindi nito nakikita ang pagkakaroon ng Duterte-Duterte tandem sa 2022 elections.

“Nabanggit niya (Mayor Sara) na kung may balak na tumakbo si Presidente Duterte as vice president at mayroong iindorso for president ang tatay niya, Mayor Sara and the HNP will support it. Nauna nang sinabi ni Mayor (Sara) na she doesn’t see at ayaw niya ang Duterte-Duterte tandem,” ani Del Rosario. ROMER R. BUTUYAN
