NANINIWALA ang Filipino coach ni Ernest John Obiena na papalapit na ang pole vaulter sa posibleng podium finish sa nalalapit na Tokyo Olympics base sa kanyang ipinakikita, halos isang buwan na lamang bago ang quadrennial meet.

Sinabi ni Emerson Obiena na ang 25-year-old trackster ay gumagaling sa kanyang training at performances habang papalapit ang Olympiad.

Sinabi ng pole vault coach na ang pagpapabakuna kontra COVID-19 ay maaaring makaapekto sa anumang progreso at momentum na nakuha ni Obiena at ng kanyang team, sa pangunguna nina Ukrainian coach Vitaly Petrov at adviser James Lafferty had gotten.
