MAY umento sa sahod ang minimum wage workers sa mga pribadong establisimiyento sa Region IV-A o Calabarzon, ayon sa Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).
“The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board in Region IV-A (Calabarzon) issued Wage Order No. IVA-20 on 01 September 2023,” nakasaad sa advisory ng DOLE.
“It provides an increase ranging from ₱35 to ₱50, bringing the daily minimum wages in the region from ₱385 to ₱520. for the non-agricultural sector; from ₱385 to ₱479 for the agricultural sector; and ₱385 for retail and service establishments employing not more than 10 workers.”
Ayon sa statement, ang agriculture workers sa Calaca sa Batangas at sa Carmona sa Cavite ay tatanggap ng mas mataas na ₱89 increase dahil sa reclassification ng naturang mga bayan mula first class municipalities sa component cities.
Ang wage order ay inilathala kahapon, Sept. 8, at magkakabisa makalipas ang 15 araw o sa Sept. 24.
Ayon sa DOLE, tinatayang nasa 719,704 manggagawa ang direktang mabibiyaan ng wage hike.
“About 1.6 million full-time wage and salary workers earning above the minimum wage may also indirectly benefit as a result of upward adjustments at the enterprise level arising from the correction of wage distortion,” nakasaad pa sa advisory.
