SA WAKAS ay nagkaharap na rin sina Manny Pacquiao at Yordenis Ugas.

Naganap ang paghaharap ng dalawa sa grand arrivals na idinaos sa Toshiba Plaza sa harap ng T-Mobile Arena, Martes (Las Vegas time).

Ito ang unang pagkakataon na nagkaharap ang dalawang boksingero magmula nang ianunsiyo na si Ugas ang magiging kapalit ni Errol Spence, Jr., na umatras makaraang magtamo ng eye injury.

Sinabi ni Pacquiao na inaabangan niya ang pagsagupa sa Cuban boxer.

“I think this is kind of a challenge and a good fight. I know both of us are well-prepared for this fight so it’s got to be a good fight,” anang eight-division world champion.

Ayon kay Pacquiao, hindi niya itinuturing si Ugas na isang ‘replacement’ lamang.

“I am not taking him for granted. In fact I am taking him as seriously as I took Errol Spence,” sabi pa ni Pacquiao.

“I have had a great training camp and I am well-prepared.  I want to prove to everyone, especially Yordenis Ugás, that I am still here.”

“My title was given to Ugás. That is not how you become a champion. You earn it by winning it inside the ring.  We will fight for the title.  That is the proper way a champion is crowned,” dagdag pa ng Filipino boxing icon.

Ibinigay kay Ugas ang WBA welterweight title nang ideklara si Pacquiao bilang ‘champion in recess’ dahil sa pagiging ‘inactive’ niya sa kaagahan ng taon.

Sina Pacquiao at Ugas ay magsasagupa para sa welterweight title sa Linggo, Agosto 22 (Manila time).
