ANG pagtatakda ng limitasyon sa indoor dining capacity sa ilalim ng Alert Level 4 ay isang pag-iingat para protektahan ang mga consumer at hindi upang mag-discriminate, ayon kay Trade Secretary Ramon Lopez.
Sa ilalim ng Alert Level 4, tanging 10 percent capacity ang pinapayagan para sa indoor dining at limitado ito sa mga bakunado o fully vaccinated. Ang mga hindi pa bakunado ay maaari namang kumain sa alfresco style sa 30 percent capacity.
Dahil dito ay nangangamba ang ilang consumers na ang naturang restriction ay maaaring magresulta sa discrimination.
“It’s not discrimination pero pag-iingat po sa magiging customer,” sabi ni Lopez.
“It’s for the customer na kakain. Sa indoor po kasi, according to health expert talagang delikado si Delta. Kaya if ever bubuksan natin ito palakihin natin ‘yung tsansa na hindi mahawa si customer,” dagdag pa ng kalihim.
