PATULOY na nagsisikap ang gobyerno para mabura ang kagutuman sa Filipias.

Ito ay ayon kay Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles matapos na lumabas sa survey na 49 porsiyento ng mga Filipino ay nagsasabing sila ay mahirap.

Nobyembre  2020,  lumitaw rin sa SWS survey na 48%  ang nagsasabing sila ay “poor” o mahirap.

Sa tinatayang  12.4 milyong  “poor” families sa May 2021, 2.4 milyon  ang  “newly poor”, 1.2 milyon ang  “usually poor”, at  8.8 milyon  ay  “always poor”.

Sinabi ni Nograles, tagapangulo ng  Inter-Agency Task Force on Zero Hunger, inaasahan na ang nasabing mga pigura dahil na rin sa limitadong kabuhayan ng.mga Filipino dulot ng  Covid-19 pandemic.

Gayompaman, binigyang diin nito ang pagsisikap ng gobyerno sa pagbuo ng  Zero Hunger task force  ganoon din ang pagbuti ng food production ng  Department of Agriculture.
