CASH INCENTIVES SA ASIAD MEDALISTS

KABUUANG P10.6 million ang ipinagkaloob ng Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) sa medal winners sa Hangzhou 19th Asian Games sa General Assembly nitong Martes sa East Ocean Palace Restaurant sa Parañaque City.

“It was a General Assembly where the POC family came together in joy and camaraderie … full of Christmas spirit,” wika ni POC president Abraham “Bambol” Tolentino. “We didn’t discuss any topic, but just giving the incentives and hosting our Christmas Party.” Ang Pilipinas ay nagwagi ng 4 gold, 2 silver at 12 bronze medals para sa kabuuang 18 medalya sa Hangzhou.

Personal na tinanggap nina jiu-jitsu gold medalist Annie Ramirez at boxing silver medalist Eumir Felix Marcial ang kanilang P1 million at P500,000 cash incentives, ayon sa pagkakasunod.

Tinanggap ni POC athletes commission head Nikko Huelgas ang P1 million check para kay pole vault champion at  record holder Ernest John “EJ” Obiena, habang kinuha ng kanyang mga kapwa  jiu-jitsu athletes ang bonus ni Meggie Ochoa.

Members of the gold medal-winning men’s basketball team each got P200,000 with Magnum Membrere, a member of the MVP Group, symbolically receiving the check.

Si wushu’s Arnel Mandal ay tumanggap ng P500,000 para sa kanyang  silver habang sina Patrick King Perez (poomsae), Patrick Coo (cycling), Sakura Alforte (karate), Kaila Napolis (jiu-jitsu), Erleen Ann Ando (weightlifting) at Jones Inso, Gideon Padua at Clemente Tabugara ng wushu ay may tig-P300,000.

Nakakuha si Alex Eala ng P450,000 para sa kanyang bronze sa women’s singles  at mixed doubles (P150,000) ng tennis kasama si Francis Casey Alcantara. Tumanggap naman sina sepak takraw’s Jason Huerte, Rheyjey Ortouste, Vince Torno, Mark Joseph Gonzales, Ronsited Gabayeron at Jom Lerry Rafael ng tig-P200,000 para sa kanilang dalawang bronze medals sa men’s quadrant at regu ng sepak takraw.
