MARAMI pang investments mula sa foreign banks para sa digital banking ang inaasahang papasok sa bansa, ayon sa Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP).
Sinabi ni BSP Governor Benjamin Diokno na buhat nang simulan ang digital banking framework sa bansa noong December 2020 ay inaasahan na ng central bank ang paglago sa foreign investment sa digital banking.
“In fact, a number of new and incumbent foreign banks have expressed intent to establish a new digital bank or convert their existing license to a digital bank license,” ani Diokno.
Ayon kay BSP Policy and Specialized Supervision Sub-Sector managing director Lyn Javier, ilang foreign banks sa Europe at Asian regions ang nagpakita ng interes sa digital banking sa bansa.
