NAKATAKDANG ibenta ni Michael Jordan ang majority share sa Charlotte Hornets.
Kinumpirma ito ng NBA noong Biyernes, isang hakbang na tutuldok sa kanyang 13 taong pangangasiwa sa basketball team.
Sa isang statement, sinabi ng NBA na nakipagkasundo si Jordan na ibenta ang majority share ng Charlotte Hornets sa isang grupo na pinangungunahan nina Gabe Plotkin at Rick Schnall.
“Plotkin, who acquired a minority stake in the Hornets in 2019, has been an alternate governor on the NBA Board of Governors since 2019 and is the founder and chief investment officer of Tallwoods Capital LLC,” nakasaad sa statement.
“Schnall is co-president of Clayton, Dubilier & Rice LLC, where he has worked for 27 years, and has been a significant minority owner of the Atlanta Hawks and an alternate governor on the NBA Board of Governors since 2015. Schnall is in the process of selling his investment in the Hawks, which is expected to be completed in the next several weeks.”
Si Jordan ay itinuturing na ‘greatest player’ sa kasaysayan ng game, nagwagi ng anim na NBA titles noong 1991, 1992, 1993, 1996, 1997, at 1998 sa panahon ng kanyang career sa Bulls.
Isa rin siyang six-time NBA Finals MVP at 14-time NBA All-Star.
Ang 60-year-old legend ay nagretiro sa basketball noong 2003.
