INANUNSIYO ng Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) at ng Philippine Table Tennis Federation (PTTF) ang pagpanaw ni Paralympics bronze medalist Josephine Medina nitong Huwebes.
Pinutol ni Medina, 51, ang 16-year Paralympics medal drought ng Pilipinas nang sumabak siya sa 2016 Rio Paralympics.
Si Medina ay gold medalist sa 2008 at 2017 ASEAN Para Games, at nagwagi ng silver sa 2010 at 2018 Asian Para Games. Nakopo rin niya ang bronze medal sa 2014 Asian Para Games.
Hindi naman binanggit ng dalawang organisasyon ang sanhi ng pagkamatay ni Medina.
“You will be missed by your table tennis family,” pahayag ng PTTF sa kanilang Facebook post.
