SI Bobby Ray Parks Jr. ang pinakabagong Filipino cager na maglalaro sa Japan.
Inanunsiyo ng Japan B.League Division I team Nagoya Diamond Dolphins sa kanilang social media account nitong Martes na pinapirma nila si Parks para sa 2021-2022 season at inirehistro ito sa kanilang Asian special quota.
“We are pleased to announce that we have signed Bobby Ray Parks Jr. from the Philippines for the B.League 2021-22 season. Ray will be registered as the Asian Player Quotas . His contract will become official as soon as he gets his medical clearance,” pahayag ng Diamond Dolphins sa isang statement.
Sasamahan ni Parks si Kiefer Ravena na may kontrata rin sa isa pang first division team, ang Shiga Lakestars. Nakatakdang maglaro si Ravena para sa Lakestars matapos ang kanyang committment sa NLEX Road Warriors ngayong season.
Ang 28-anyos na si Parks ang ika-6 na Pinoy na maglalaro sa Japan — matapos nina Thirdy Ravena (San-En NeoPhoenix), Kiefer Ravena (Lakestars), Javi Gomez de Liaño (Ibaraki Robots), Juan Gómez de Liaño (Earth Friends Tokyo Z), at Kemark Carino (Aomori Wat’s), na maglalaro sa second division ng liga.
