DADALHIN ng Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) si world-class Singaporean sports biomechanist Dr. Marcus Lee, nangangasiwa sa Team Singapore, sa 7th session ng National Sports Summit 2021 na pinamagatang “High-Performance Sports and Athletic Success” ngayong Huwebes.
Si Dr. Lee ang namamahala sa national team ng Singapore na nagkakaloob ng suporta sa biomechanics at injury prevention. Pinamumunuan niya ang Sport Biomechanics team ng Singapore Sport Institute at director sa board ng International Society of Biomechanics in Sports.
Binigyang-diin ni PSC Chairman William Ramirez ang pangangailangan ng Filipino sports educators, trainors, coaches, at stakeholders na magkaroon ng kamalayan sa naturang larangan.
“We need to open the pathways for Philippine sports by allowing them to learn from experts in sports science. We are beyond grateful to Dr. Lee for sharing his expertise,” sabi ni Ramirez.
Nauna rito, itinampok ng second batch ng mga speaker sa National Sports Summit 2021 ang ‘clean and fair play’ efforts sa bansa sa pamamagitan ni Philippine National Anti-Doping Organization (PHINADO) President Dr. Alejandro Pineda Jr. at ang tagumpay sa Sports Science ni International Basketball Federation (FIBA) doctor Dr. Jose Raul Canlas kung saan 900 participants ang lumahok sa online.
