INAASAHANG babagal pa ang inflation sa Hulyo sa likod ng pagbaba ng presyo ng bigas at liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), ayon sa Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP).
Sinabi ng central bank na sa pagtaya ng BSP Department of Economic Research, ang July 19 inflation rate ay maitatala sa 2.0-2.8% range.
“Tempering inflation pressures are lower rice and domestic LPG prices, as well as the downward adjustment in electricity rates and the recent peso appreciation,” pahayag ng BSP.
“These could be partly offset by higher prices of petroleum and food items during the month,” dagdag pa nito.
Ang inflation noong Hunyo ay bumagal sa 2.7% mula sa 3.2% noong Mayo.
“Looking ahead, the BSP will remain watchful of the evolving inflationary environment to ensure that the monetary policy stance remains consistent with the BSP’s price stability mandate,” sabi pa ng central bank.
