(Naghihintay sa cybersecurity professionals) 2 MILYONG TRABAHO

MAY dalawang milyong trabaho sa cybersecurity ang bukas, ayon sa  Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT).

Sinabi ni DICT Secretary Ivan John Uy na ang  cybersecurity professionals ay may sahod na mula  P200,000 kada buwan. Ang mga nasa US ay kumikita ng hanggang  $100,000 kada taon o tinatayang P500k kada buwan. .

Bahagi ng National Cybersecurity Plan ng DICT na aprubado na ni Presidente Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ay ang capacity building at upskilling sa pamamagitan ng pag-aalok ng cybersecurity training sa pamamagitan ng DICT-ICT academy.

Ang programa ay paunang iaalok sa mga empleyado ng pamahalaan, subalit kalaunan ay iaalok na rin sa publiko ang ilang kurso nang libre, ang ilan ay may bayad.

We’re also working with different providers, whether these are university, colleges, training institutes for them to possibly deploy some of the course content that we will curate that will allow them to learn more. And we’re also working with industry to provide those contents. So alam mo, maraming mga cybersecurity at mga providers like Google, Microsoft, mayroon silang mga certification programs, training and certificate programs,” sabi ni Uy.

Binigyang-diin ng DICT chief ang malaking potensiyal ng programa para sa tinatawag niyang “mga tambay pero tech savvy”.

Can you imagine the economic opportunity that is now given to our sector of society who cannot afford to go to college. Now we’ve opened up a completely new window of employment that they can go into and earn a lot of money better than the college graduates.
